Googly Eyes and Paper Flowers

So I have a couple projects I have started. One is mentioned in the last post, the Googly Eye Picture frame. I now have my first one finished and am working on three more. The three I started last night, have two different sized eyes instead of the same size as on the first one. I'm going to take pics of them, I have them all in different stages, then figure out how to post those pics on here. Haha. I'm having a lot of fun making them.

My second project is a paper flower wreath I found on Pintrest. It's linked to an Etsy page where they are charging $50 for it. Plus the shipping and handling. Well, I went and bought card stock paper in pastels and have started my flowers. It's going to take a while to get them all made, and I probably won't have fingerprints when I'm done thanks to the glue gun. But it will be worth it in the end. It's going to be beautiful.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I've still got to figure that out. Once I do, I'll post pics with instructions on how I am making them.

A Start To A Crafty New Life

Hi!
I'm Sara.
I'm old enough.
I live in the mountains.

I've always enjoyed craft projects. But I've never put forth the effort to think of ideas, because frankly, I'm just not good at it. But Pintrest has given me inspiration. I'm going to use this blog to chronicle everything I make from ideas I get. Who knows, as time goes on I might get ideas of my own. :)

I chose the name Crafty Metalhead, because well, I love to be crafty, and I'm a metalhead. Which is a strange combination. How many people do you know that cross-stitch while listening to death metal? None I'm sure, at the most maybe one, me. Haha.

I'm excited to start making awesome things! Hopefully, I'll be able to put more of a female influence on the "man-cave" I live in. ;) If you've been to my house, you will understand.

I've already started one project, the Googly Eyes Halloween Frame I found on Pintrest. I'm not finished with it yet. But it's so fun and easy I'm going to make a few for my friends with children. It's such a cute idea!

As time goes on I'll figure out how to put links and things, but for now, deal with my noobness to blogging.
